625 Bar & Grill

Website

Identity

Responsive

A website created for a local bar and grill, aimed at enhancing their online presence and customer engagement. The site is dedicated to showing off the establishment’s lively atmosphere and diverse menu options.

Overview

625 Bar & Grill is a small town family-friendly restaurant located in Dennison, MN. Since its establishment in 2023, the owners have grown it into a thriving oasis that's host to traditional homemade bar food and an assortment of exciting activities.

Objective

A majority of the customers are people who are middle-aged or older, and as people get older reading can become more difficult. By creating a website with easy navigation and legible type, it would boost the restaurant's online presence and engagement.

Design Process

Name & Identity

The website adopts the established name and aesthetic of the 625 restaurant. The logomark for the site is the same logo used at the restaurant. The color palette uses the blue from the logo alongside a dark blue for drop shadow and type. A sky blue was used for buttons to add variety while staying consistent with the branding.

Readability for older audiences was a must when designing the site. Montserrat was chosen as body copy for its readability. NCAA Marquette Bold reminded me as a diner-like font, which is why I chose it for the headers. Lobster Two was chosen specifically for the online menu to make the design more visually interesting and playful.
